The evolution of the SPR comes home to daniel defense mk12. This firearm is constructed around an 18-inch Stainless Steel barrel with a chamber created during the Cold Hammer Forging process, which ensures the most precise alignment of the chamber to the bore possible.
This, along with being DLC finished, equates to unprecedented accuracy and durability. The daniel defense mk12 barrel is engineered with a rifle-length direct impingement gas system and utilizes the MK12 gas block, which is built to Crane Specifications for USSOCOM. The daniel defense mk12 gas block is precision CNC machined from 416 stainless steel and Black Oxide Coated.
The new independently ambi GRIP-N-RIP Charging Handle accommodates left- and right-handed shooters and is engineered for suppressed fire, with anti-gas features that redirect gas flow upward and away from the face and operator. The upper receiver is equipped with a free floating DDM4 Rail 12.0 quad rail for allowing your choice of optics and accessories and is finished off with a Daniel Defense Improved Flash Suppressor.
The daniel defense mk12 was designed from the ground up to be a precision rifle, therefore it required certain refinements. We equipped it with the Geissele SSA 2-Stage Trigger to give the marksman an advantage delivering precise fire to the target.

The daniel defense mk12 from Daniel Defense takes all the features you love from their M4 series and pushes it capabilities. Taken from the original concept of USSOCOM’s desire to bridge the gap between the M4 and larger rifles. Daniel Defense has taken this and given it a little facelift. Starting with the lower the daniel defense mk12 comes with a M4 style lower with collapsing stock.
Unlike the original SPR, this allows for finding your preferred shooting position and easier storage. Inside the lower, the rifle comes with a premium 2-stage trigger. This allows for a more crisp and consistent pull. For the southpaw, the lower also comes with ambidextrous safety. Sitting on top of this lower is a high quality upper. At the heart of this upper is the daniel defense mk12 profile 4150 CRMOV barrel.
This combination of profile and material lends to excellent shooting potential. At the end of the barrel is an enhanced flash hider for improved signature reduction. Surrounding the barrel is the rugged daniel defense mk12 rail that provides a solid platform for accessories. All of these features combine to help push the envelope for performance.
