New Guns in 2021
So we decided to take a look at the new guns announced so far in 2021. The list below isn’t every single new gun that’s been announced; we just stuck to the more noteworthy releases. And while we can’t disclose any information on what’s coming for the remainder of 2021, gun owners should be excited. There’s actually a ton of new releases on the horizon, including a first from two different manufacturers and some pretty innovative stuff from a couple others. In the meantime, take a look at the new guns announced so far in 2021.
SAR USA 109T Semi-Auto 9mm ‘Subgun’

Unveiled on New Year’s Day, the SAR 109T is a “a comparatively small, lightweight and modular a semi-auto version of the Sarsilmaz TE 54 carbine that was originally manufactured for police and civilian sales.”
Magpul/ZEV FDP-9 Folding Pistol

Yeah, this one is pretty crazy. Rumored for more than a decade, Magpul teamed up with ZEV Technologies to create a folding pistol. Officially titled the FDP-9, Magpul announced the gun on Jan. 25 with an expected 2022 release. For even more info, please visit Magpul.com.
Walther PDP

Walther is one of the best pistol makers on the market. In February, Walther released an entirely new line of handguns called the PDP. Completely optics-ready, the line features both compact and full-size models. For even more info, please visit WaltherArms.com.
KelTec P50

Possibly the “coolest” announcement of 2021, KelTec’s P50 is a doozy. It’s a 50-round 5.7x28mm pistol that uses an FN P90 magazine. It loads by lifting the barrel up and sliding the magazine in. Another case of KelTec doing KelTec things. For even more info, please visit KelTecWeapons.com.
Aero Precision EPC-9

The Aero Precision EPC-9 isn’t so much a gun as it is a buffet. With receiver sets, complete uppers, barrels, bolt assemblies, and more, the EPC-9 is a “build your own” pistol caliber carbine set. For even more info, please visit AeroPrecision.com.
Colt Anaconda

Over the last few years Colt rebooted a bunch of its snake-themed revolvers. In March, Colt added yet another snake reboot to the list with the announcement of the new .44 Magnum Anaconda, available with either a 6- or 8-inch barrel. For even more info, please visit Colt.com.
SIG P320 AXG Classic

SIG seemingly releases something new every month. One of the latest releases is a bit of a throwback: The SIG P320 AXG Classic. The new pistol has a bit of an old-school feel to it with custom Hogue walnut grips and a curved trigger. For even more info, please visit SIGSauer.com.
FN EVOLYS

Not so much for civilians, the EVOLYS is the latest from FN Herstal. Announced May 6, the FN EVOLYS is a new lightweight machine gun platform chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and 7.62x51mm NATO.
Springfield Hellcat RDP

The Springfield Hellcat is one of the most popular concealed carry pistols on the market. Well, in February, Springfield unveiled the new Hellcat RDP. The new variant comes affixed with a HEX Wasp red dot and features Springfield’s Self Indexing Compensator. For even more info, please visit Springfield-Armory.com.
Manurhin Revolvers (Beretta)

This one was a nice surprise. On May 5, Beretta announced it would start importing Manurhin revolvers for commercial sale in the U.S. market. The first, limited round of releases includes 4- and 5.25-inch barreled models in .357 Magnum/.38 Special. For even more info, please visit Beretta.com.
Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield Plus

Smith & Wesson’s M&P9 Shield line of handguns is about as reliable as it gets. In March, Smith & Wesson announced the Shield Plus, which, if you couldn’t figure it out, bumps capacity up to a flush fit 10+1 or an extended 13+1. For even more info, please visit Smith-Wesson.com.
FN 509 LS Edge

FN America’s latest iteration of the 509 series is the FN 509 LS Edge. It’s a long slide variant with upgrades to the barrel, trigger, and slide. It also features FN’s Low-Profile Optics Mounting System. For even more info, please visit FNAmerica.com.
Ruger Max-9

No way! Another pistol? We kid — Ruger’s new Max-9 is a nice addition to the growing “micro compact” pistol market. Introduced in March, it’s optics-ready and also has a 13+1 capacity. But more impressive might be that sub-$500 price tag. For even more info, please visit Ruger.com.
SIG P320 MAX

Not to be confused with the Ruger Max-9 above, the SIG P320 MAX is yet another iteration of the wildly popular P320 line. Inspired by champion shooter Max Michel, the P320 MAX comes topped with a ROMEO3MAX optic. It also features a massive 22+1 capacity. For even more info, please visit SIGSauer.com.
Christensen Arms Modern Precision Pistol

We like different. Christensen Arms introduced something “different” in April with the Modern Precision Pistol. It utilizes a bolt-action pistol chassis. It also features a folding, SB Tactical stabilizing brace, which shrinks it down to just 28.25 inches. For even more info, please visit ChristensenArms.com.
Taurus TX 22 Competition

Announced back in February, the Taurus TX 22 Competition is a full-size .22 LR pistol. Why is that cool? Because Taurus cut some of the slide away from the barrel, which allows the red dot to mount directly to the barrel. For even more info, please visit TaurusUSA.com.
Savage Impulse

Shooters should give any rifle platform from Savage Arms serious consideration. Announced a few days into 2021, the Impulse is Savage’s first straight pull-action rifle and it’s very fast. For even more info, please visit SavageArms.com.
WATCH: The Hatsan .50 Caliber PileDriver PCP Large Game Alternative
Suppressors have been making waves on the hunting scene, as they help reduce the sound of a rifle. However, while they are effective, they also require a tax stamp. Not to mention that they are illegal in some states and jurisdictions. For this reason, the Hatsan .50 caliber PileDriver PCP rifle just might be the […]
